Eagles Come Back

The Eagles scored a touchdown with 6:16 remaining to tie the game after the Browns went into the fourth quarter with a 15-10 advantage. With two minutes remaining, the Browns had a chance to retake the lead, but K Cade York missed a 41-yard from goal try after making his first three field goal attempts of the game.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson, a rookie quarterback, earned his first career start to start the game and played the entire first half, showcasing his tenacity and propensity for throwing long passes.

WR Austin Watkins received passes of 22 yards, 27 yards, and a 36-yard bomb from Thompson-Robinson. Thompson-Robinson completed 13 of 25 throws for 164 yards on the day.

On a 32-yard reception, Watkins caught the first touchdown pass of the game for the Browns. He also made a terrific one-handed catch from quarterback Kellen Mond for 23 yards. Watkins had seven receptions for 139 yards in total for the day.

The first half’s focus, though, was on the defense. When LB Mohamoud Diabate tackled Eagles RB Kenneth Gainwell for a loss of two and a safety, the Browns scored the game’s opening points for the second straight game. Additionally, Diabate caused Eagles RB Trey Sermon to fumble, which Browns CB Cameron Mitchell recovered.

S When he intercepted Marcus Mariota as a quarterback in the first quarter, Ronnie Hickman recorded his third pick in as many games. The second quarter of the game saw Hickman leave due to concussion protocol.

With six sacks, one forced fumble, and one interception, the defense controlled the match.

On August 26, the Browns will return to action when they play the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

In the preseason game against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, two Eagles players—receiver Tyrie Cleveland and rookie defensive lineman Moro Ojomo—were helped off the field with neck injuries. The club reported that both players’ extremities can move.

Coach Nick Sirianni stated, “I haven’t spoken to the doctors yet, but it sounds like they’re moving around.” “Aside from that, I don’t know anything else.”

Injuries

Philadelphia suffered several injuries that night. Zech McPhearson, a cornerback, was declared out of the contest early in the second quarter after suffering an ankle injury. Both receiver Olamide Zaccheaus and rookie first-round pick Nolan Smith left the game due to injuries to their shoulders. Josh Andrews, an offensive lineman, exited the game in the first half after suffering an ankle injury and did not come back.

Smith, whose strong performance during training camp has drawn attention, told reporters afterward that he is “feeling good” and that he was removed from the game out of caution.

The future doesn’t seem as bright for McPhearson. He deflected a ball and fell to the ground, unable to bear any weight on his right leg. Before being carried inside, he received assistance leaving the field.

The most terrifying incidents was Cleveland’s injuries, who fell on his head and neck while attempting to make a diving grab, and Ojomo’s apparent unintentional contact with a teammate on a different play.

Before being put on stretchers while teammates encircled them, both remained on the ground for a long time.

Marcus mariota stated about this

A quarterback named Marcus Mariota stated: “Your heart goes out to them first and foremost, and you just think about your teammate.” “We play a game, and it’s good to play a game, but when things get like that, it’s scary.”
