With Taylor Swift competing against other celebrities including Billie Eilish, SZA, Olivia Rodrigo, Lana Del Rey, Miley Cyrus, and Dua Lipa, the majority of nominations for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year are female.

Several performers will take the stage live throughout the event, including 80-year-old superstar Joni Mitchell, who will be singing live from the Grammys stage for the first time in her career.

Along with Billy Joel, Travis Scott, Luke Combs, Tracy Chapman, Burna Boy, and other nominees Eilish, Rodrigo, and Dua Lipa, there will be a special performance by U2 at the Las Vegas Sphere, where they have been headlining a months-long residency.

With nine nominations heading into the evening, SZA is among the musicians that have the potential to shatter records in the music business this coming weekend. She would become the female artist with the most victories in a single night if she could win at least seven of those. Currently holding the record with six victories in a single event are Adele and Beyoncé.

Taylor Swift may shatter the legendary Grammys 2024 record .

Tonight is the Grammys 2024 , where some of the best musicians in the world will honor their successes and accomplishments from the previous year in music.

R&B singer-songwriter SZA is the front-runner among this year’s candidates with nine accolades, including Best Record, Album of the Year, and Best Song. Producer Serban Ghenea, Victoria Monét, and Phoebe Bridgers are right behind with seven apiece.

With six nominations overall, Taylor Swift will compete in the Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year major categories.

For the fourth year in a row, comedian Trevor Noah will host the Grammy Awards; this year’s performance might make history in addition to being a concert showcasing the biggest names in music.

At eight o’clock in the evening, the main program will go live on CBS and Paramount+. Subscribers to Showtime and Paramount+ may watch both live and on demand. The event won’t be available for streaming until the next day for Paramount+ Essential subscribers.

At 6 p.m. Eastern, Laverne Cox and comedian Heather McMahan will present E!’s “Live From E!: Countdown to the Grammys” program, which will feature a blend of fashion coverage and celebrity interviews.

Additionally, a three-hour red carpet event with fashion and interview video will be streamed by the Associated Press. Starting at 4 p.m. Eastern, it will be live on YouTube, Twitter, and the AP website.

With nine nominations, SZA leads the field, closely followed by Victoria Monét and Phoebe Bridgers, both with seven. Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Brandy Clark, Batiste, and producer Jack Antonoff are among the six members of Bridgers’ boygenius band.

Fans of Grammys 2024

Fans of “Barbie” have cause for celebration. The movie will be noticeable during the Grammys, much like how it did at the box office: Eleven nominations were received for the soundtrack of the popular movie, with four of the five places in the visual media song category going to music from the album.

There are also a few chances to make history: Ever since “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” took home the 1999 album of the year award, a Black woman has not earned the title. Janelle Monae or SZA may make a difference this year.

Taylor Swift would break the record as the artist with the most awards ever if she wins album of the year, breaking the previous mark of four. Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey may win their first Grammys.

Grammys 2024

Hazel, Victoria Monét’s 2-year-old daughter, would become the youngest Grammy winner if her song “Hollywood” wins best traditional R&B performance. If Karol G’s album “Mañana Será Bonito” wins, she might become the first female musician to win in the history of the best música urbana category. With a third win in 2024, Jack Antonoff might equal Babyface for the record for the most consecutive victories in the producer of the year, non-classical category.

Many individuals! SZA, Joni Mitchell’s first-ever Grammy performance, and 23-time nominee and five-time Grammy winner Billy Joel all on the list.

In addition, Travis Scott, Olivia Rodrigo, Burna Boy, Dua Lipa, Luke Combs, Billie Eilish, and Burna Boy—all Grammy winners and current nominees—are on the roster.
