Tom Brady

Tom Brady, a former NFL star, has joined Birmingham City, a team in the Championship division of English soccer.

The owners of Birmingham, Knighthead Capital Management LLC, and the seven-time Super Bowl winner quarterback have partnered, and the quarterback will lead the club’s advisory board.

According to a statement from Birmingham, Brady will “apply his extensive leadership experience and expertise across several components of the club,” including working with the sports science department to provide guidance on wellbeing, wellness, and recovery systems and programs.

After 23 seasons in the NFL, during which he was awarded MVP five times, won the Super Bowl seven times, and established himself as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game, he announced his retirement in February 2023.

Tom Brady declaration

Brady’s declaration makes him the second recently retired NFL player to show interest in English football in the past three months, following JJ Watt, who on May 1 became a minor investor in Premier League team Burnley.

Brady admits that he still has a lot to learn about English football, but he is eager to share his knowledge with the team.

So, here’s the deal: Brady announced that he was officially joining Birmingham City Football Club. What do you know about English football, Tom, may be what you’re asking. Let’s just say that I still have a lot to learn. But I do have some knowledge of winning, and I believe that will translate fairly effectively.

“I am aware that success begins with the labor done when no one is looking. I am aware that a team cannot succeed without the support of the community.

“Most importantly, I’m aware that I like playing the underdog,”. Birmingham has had a difficult road, but its supporters have never lost hope.

I’ll see you shortly at St. Andrew’s. Time to get working.

“I am aware that hard work put in when no one is looking is where achievement begins. I am aware that a team needs the help of the community to succeed.

“Most importantly, I’m conscious that I like playing the underdog. Although Birmingham has had a rough path, its supporters have never given up.

I’ll see you at St. Andrew’s soon. Start working now.

Tom Brady joining

“Tom Brady joining the Birmingham City team is a statement of intent,” said Tom Wagner, the board chairman of Birmingham. We’re aiming for world-class performance. Tom is dedicating his considerable experience as well as spending his time. Tom’s influence on the Club as chair of the advisory board will be felt immediately.

The teams from the Men’s, Women’s, and Academy will benefit from the information. Making Birmingham City a reputable leader in nutrition, health, wellbeing, and recovery throughout the football world is the objective Tom has vowed to own.

The club is legendary and has a rich history and fan base. The foundation of BCFC is teamwork and tenacity, and I’m eager to work with the board, management, and players to transform our Second City club into a powerhouse.

I’ve worked on some incredible teams in the past, and I’m excited to use my experience to help Birmingham achieve success.

Brady is merely the newest American superstar to use their fame to support a US business venture in European sports.

J.J. Watt, a fellow NFL icon, recently made an investment in the Burnley soccer team, and other Hollywood celebrities have done the same. While Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney brought their own financial might and distinctive characters as full owners of Wrexham, Michael B. Jordan invested in Premier League club Bournemouth.
